Community Life

The Community Life Board includes parish organizations and activities that contribute to building up community, the body of Christ.  The following are committees:

Parish Activities: St. Monica Festival (held around the feast day of St. Monica in August). The Committee also coordinates the spring and fall events.

HomeschoolingThe Holy Family Homeschool Association provides information and services to potential and current Catholic homeschoolers of the parish. Contact: LeAnn Hufnagel at 405-613-2277.

Knights of Columbus is a worldwide Catholic organization for men 18 years and older.  It is a church, family, and charity-oriented group. Contact Greg Greenlee at 471-1857.

MOM's Group
supports mothers in our parish via service projects that serve the church and community, Catholic speakers, and topics that deepen our spirituality. We broaden our knowledge of local merchants and attempt to make our lives run smoother. The nursery is available during gatherings. Contact Robin Spaid at 633-1614.

Parents of Young Children (PYC) invites all parents for a night out for fun and fellowship. The group meets the 2nd Saturday of the month after the 5 p.m. Mass. The Church Nursery is provided until 10 p.m. For more information email:


   Boy Scouts Troop 331 meets every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Youth Building. Please contact Les Love, Scoutmaster, at 338-5558 or or Steve Hurteau, Committee Chair, at 341-7073 or

   Cub Scouts is for boys 1st through 5th grade and provides abundant opportunities for parents and boys to spend time with each other learning life principles in a fun environment.  Our Pack meets once each month on the 4th Monday at 7 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Many of our Pack and Den leaders are St. Monica parishioners.  

Sports Fields - Usage of the sports fields on parish property for adults and children of the parish needing practice and playing fields for soccer, baseball, and softball.  To reserve a field contact:

St. Camillus Quilters
The quilters group meets once a month and makes quilts for parishioners who are ill, work on projects and enjoy fellowship with other parishioners. No deadlines, work at your own pace. New and experienced quilters are welcome. For more information, contact Annita Leehan at 740-5193.
