St. Monica Catholic Church has an opportunity for volunteers to help out with counting and depositing the collection after the Mass. Here are the duties:

St. Monica’s Mowing Teams need additional volunteers to help keep our grounds looking nice during the growing season. Men, women, and teens who are able to handle power mowing equipment are invited to join this important stewardship activity which saves the Parish over $30,000 per year by not having to hire outside contractors. You don’t need to be an expert to join in—on-the-job training is available!

All are invited to a Mass to bless the new altar at St. Patrick Cemetery on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17, at 11:30 a.m.

Birth Choice Life of the Party, a gala fundraiser with dinner, auction and dance, will be held Saturday, March 24, at 6 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 741 N. Phillips Ave., Oklahoma City.

Catholic Day with the OKC Dodgers is Sunday, April 29, at 2:05 p.m. Tickets are $14 and may be purchased directly from the Dodgers.

The spring 2018 Encounter with God’s Call weekend is April 14-16. The trip allows young men in 11th grade through recent college graduates to visit a seminary, spend time with the archdiocese’s college seminarians, and get questions answered about the possibility of studying to become a priest for the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.

We are currently in need of volunteers to fill the following hours: Sunday - Midnight to 1:00 AM, Thursday - Midnight to 1:00 AM, Thursday - 11:00 PM to Midnight, Saturday - 3:00 to 4:00 AM.

St. Monica parishioners who will have children enrolled in Catholic schools for the school year 2018-2019, need to complete a blue Catholic School Patron stewardship of time and talent volunteer form and treasure pledge cards in order to qualify for the subsidy which is provided for all active and tithing parishioners who practice stewardship. A description of St. Monica's policy regarding subsidies and tuition is available in the packet. The forms are available in the Parish Office. 

St. Monica's homeschooling group meets the first Friday of the month to pray, build community and work on a small service project. Gatherings will begin in the Church at 11 a.m. to recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet in honor of the Sacred Heart. The chaplet will be followed by a sack lunch and project in the youth building.

The Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma will award undergraduate college scholarships to Catholic students. Applicants must show financial need, scholastic ability and be an active, registered member of a parish in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.

Volunteers are needed to count the collection and drop it at the bank after weekend masses. If you’re looking for a way to get more involved in the parish this is one of the easiest ways to contribute. It only takes a few minutes after the Mass you’re already attending. Volunteers take one month at a time on rotating basis.

The 22nd annual Catholic Men's Conference, “In The Father's Footsteps XXII,” will be Saturday, March 3, at Embassy Suites Conference Center, in Norman. For more information visit www.catholicmen.net. 

College students are invited to the Oklahoma Catholic Catholic Conference Friday-Sunday, Feb. 9-11 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Youth Camp. The event is for those who are ages 18-25 and do not have to be students.

All youth entering 9th –12th grades $100.00 deposit with registration $325 per person includes: transportation, lodging, meals, T-shirts, and a trip to Silver Dollar City w/meal .

If you or someone you know is ill, in the hospital, homebound or not able to get to Mass because of circumstances beyond their control, call the church office at 359-2700 so a Homebound Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion may bring them Communion.
