St. Monica Catholic Academy Announces Inaugural Headmaster

ST. MONICA CATHOLIC ACADEMY ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL HEADMASTER

Richard S. Meloche is a dedicated Catholic scholar, educator, and administrator with a deep love and commitment to liberal education and the richness of the Catholic intellectual tradition. As the newly appointed Headmaster of St. Monica's Catholic Academy, he brings a wealth of experience and is excited to partner with the community to develop and grow St. Monica’s into a premier Catholic school in the state.

Dr. Meloche holds a Ph.D. in theology from Ave Maria University and has 15+ years of service at various Catholic colleges and institutions.  His expertise spans the full philosophical, theological, and literary heritage of the West, and he has been instrumental in developing various classical curricula, programs, and educational start-ups.

Beyond the office and classroom, Dr. Meloche finds profound fulfillment in the rhythms of rural living alongside his wife, Manuela, and their eight children. He actively champions the Church’s teaching on the dignity of manual labor—delighting in planting, tending gardens, raising animals, and sharing the fruit of the harvest with friends and family.

In his role as Headmaster, Dr. Meloche is committed to fostering a school environment where students joyfully encounter Christ through a robust sacramental life, a wonderous study of reality, and the arduous pursuit of virtue. Drawing deeply from treasury of the Church’s educational tradition, he seeks to cultivate a community of learners well equipped to engage the world with courage, charity, and intellectual depth.

St. Monica's Catholic Academy is honored to welcome Dr. Richard S. Meloche as its founding Headmaster.
